Perhaps the Universe is Old ?

Postby Peter Henderson » Sat Jan 29, 2011 12:25 pm

I came across this "peer reviewed" article from the ARJ on AiG's website a few days ago:

http://www.answersingenesis.org/article ... -cosmology

Really nothing more than quoting science with a few YEC claims thrown in for good measure, but who on earth is "James Upton, independant researcher England, UIK " and what research has he done ?

Yer, we've tried to find out who he is. Came up with nothing. The term "independent researcher" just about sums him up. It's a euphemism for a one mand band amateur.

I suppose if you emailed mlooy@answeringenesis.org he might answer the question, including whether Upton possesses any relevant qualifications and expertise.

I've just come across THIS website whilst searching for something else:
http://www.yecheadquarters.org/index.html
They certainly haven't come under MY radar before.
It appears to be a rather strident outfit that is allied to Kent Hovind and declares that God is 'beyond science' (so presumably they can declare that all those bits of science they don't like are a waste of time and should be ignored).

Sorry Ashley, only just spotted this. What an outfit. They rather undermine their own claims that YECism is based on science, don't they?
3) Why do we have wisdom teeth? Wisdom teeth are a throw back from the giants that used to exist in Biblical times.
Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
I think this claim should be on AiG's list of things creationists are better off not using!
