Another "Award Winning" Creationist Film?

Postby Mountkeen » Wed Sep 28, 2016 10:51 am

Following the strange case of the CMI's non-award winning film documented elsewhere on this board, Ray Bananaman Comfort has been boasting on Twitter that his "Atheist Delusion" movie has won "Best Science Film Award" at the International Christian Film Festival.

Not surprisingly............there appears to be no such category appearing on the festival website, and Ray's film doesn't get a mention in the award winners either.

Maybe that's because Ray's prize is a delusion too.

Ray Comfort - delusion or reality?

Postby a_haworthroberts » Wed Sep 28, 2016 9:48 pm

Shocked. Stunned. A YEC fundamentalist Christian telling porkie pies? Surely it cannot be.

More about the story and the claim here: ... -festival/

But ... just one problem. As hinted at at this atheist blog, the report does appear to be TRUE (though I very much doubt there's much if any valid science in the film and the suspicion remains that no other movies were entered in the category in question):

I admit I could not see any 'science' category mentioned on your link - though it seemed to be 'freezing' a bit.

A definite lack of transparency/accountability.

Did they decide they liked Comfort's effort - and then invent the 'best science' category?!

I'm also confused because either there are TWO different film festivals or the one festival has TWO websites; compare and contrast the urls: (mentions the film Comfort is going on about) (makes no such mention)

It costs around 20 dollars to download the movie ...

This is peculiar.
Mountkeen's original link is to

The Patheos article links to (where Bananaman's film is listed for showing)
Registered by Godaddy, no regixtrant details
A Google search yields
Not registered, seems to have been live last year, shows only blank page with the outline looking like the page with the list.
I don't think I can be bothered digging any deeper.
