If you have the time, look at the rest of the strips as well (yes, there's nearly 1000!). It's a phenomenally funny and clever webcomic.
(my personal favorite: http://xkcd.com/882/ - because it's exactly the attitude I get from non-scientific customers)

Never apologise for disagreeing, or encouraging debate. All criticism is welcome, or at least it should be, if the one being criticised is honest and confident. If anything, you'll just get a pitying look, a pat on the head and a condesending 'chat' about how it works and why you're stupid![]()
It's always good to argue against an opinion you hold too, no one knows the flaws in an argument better than the one trying defend it.
Science thrives on debate and conflict, it's what's made evolution such a strong and robust theory. So much opposition to it has forced it to refine and adapt (a little like evolution of its own!) until it's the highly regarded theory it is now.

Oh no he isn't!
Anyway, responding to your earlier comment, I was getting worried when people started saying things like: "Luke, you need to realise that....", "I'm putting this here mainly for Luke's information...", "Luke, your new avatar sucks...."

Of course. He doesn't believe in God!
