Will this pseudo-scientific nonsense soon be abandoned by the YEC community? There's a competing 'hypothesis'. The southern continents were never joined at all and their similar vegetation is all down to 'pumice rafts' during Noah's Flood. Maybe. But WHAT about Genesis 1:9-10 (NIV)?
"And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good." If the water was in one place, was the land in one place too (most literalistic YECs think this is what the verse is saying)?

Will we be hearing more about the pumice rafts idea from YECs?
I would not bet on it.
