ACE criticised in Lords Dabate

Postby Brian Jordan » Fri Nov 28, 2014 11:03 am

Albeit briefly, judging by the bit on Today in Parliament,
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04pvh14 At about 16m 40s to 17m 20s
Someone might like to dig for more on BBC Parliament or in the Hansard transcript - unfamiliar territories to me - because there's a suggestion elsewhere that evidence from Jonny Scaramanga might have been mentioned. It would also be interesting, of course, to see what response Lord Warner got.

As just posted under the latest Scaramanga blog (which is also at Patheos):

Scan read the transcript - not for the faint hearted! I think they missed out that ACE can be 'sectarian' for want of a better phrase as well (I'd love to find that 'history' text book extract again), but also that schools using it are currently beyond the reach of the state.
