Evolution being "observed" ?

Evolving from lethal parasite to benign symbiote? Why kill your host, after all. Probably happened in chimps millennia ago?
Thinks: maybe those invading mitochondria didn't fit in all that well, originally!

I do seem to remember seeing a series of videos on HIV, and reading some articles on this Brian were it stated the virus, which was once fatal in other primates/apes had evolved to become benign. It was predicted, if I remember correctly, this would happen eventually in humans as well.

Doesn't Ken Miller mention this in his talk on the Dover trial from Case Western University ?

That would scotch any claims by creationists that it was adaptation to (or man-made selection by) antivirals.
