There is a fairly popular creationist claim that biblical dragons are really dinosaurs. I have written various pieces, none of which seem to my liking. But, I did cut one down and posted it at, Dragons and gods and dinos, Oh My!

Blog software fails for discussions, so I thought we could persue the topic here, if anyone is interested.

There is also some 'meat on the bone' in Adrienne Mayor's very interesting book, "The First Fossil Hunters: Paleontology in Greek and Roman Times" (2000 Princeton University Press). She stayed away from the biblical implications, bu they are quite clear.

The programme appears to have been originally broadcast on Revelation TV, one UK equivalent of TBN (although now based in Spain to get around Ofcom rules). The other's the God channel.

Revelation TV is renowned for pushing YECism.

It is impossible not to be confused by creationists as there are so many incosnistencies, ad hoc arguemnts , wackiness and then total misunderstanding/representation.

To follow a creationist arguemnt gets your head spinning.As tyou found out it is also a form of head-banging

Yes, I've heard a few interesting tales about the Crouchs; pretty common stuff amongst the televangelists of the 80s and early 90s. Didn't they get divorced?

The televangelists haven't really prospered in the UK - the UK economy is only about a seventh the size of the USA and the broadcasting regulators have long been tough on them. Especially when it comes to their attempts to relieve the public of the not inconsiderable burden of money.

Not as far as I know, although they don't live together, apparently, and only appear on stage for special occasions (the twice yearly praise-a=thon for example).

Funny how all these wives of US tele evangelists tend to look like OTT porn stars. Rexalla Van Impe is another one that springs to mind.
